Cravin' for Changes
Family Express® re-invents its foodservice program -- and changes some industry perceptions, too.
VALPARAISO, Ind. - Already one of the Midwest's best, Family Express® is undergoing a re-invention of sorts, and is changing the perception of the typical convenience store along with it.
Smokes, cokes, chips and beef jerky - sure they're all there, but how about the highest-quality fresh fruit, wrap sandwiches, fresh salads and even gourmet-style meats and cheeses? Got that too. As part of its new fresh-food program, Cravin's Market®, Family Express® has revamped its foodservice offering and has beefed up its store-delivery schedule, working with a central distribution center to ensure frequent delivery of fresh products to its stores - in branded trucks no less.
